Starting to Homestead

This will be the first of many post to come, of lessons learned in epic success and epic fails. The goal is to simply part knowledge to help someone else either fix a problem, learn something new, decide if this is something they wanna take on or just to brighten a day with something that may have gone well or failed awesomely.

so a little about me and my little family age wise at writing this iv hit level 34, my husband level 43 and daughter level 11. I have a writing and spelling learning disability and spell check really hates me some days so if there are words misspelled blame auto correct lol, I also have ADHD so dose my daughter and together with our powers of learning anything interesting we tend to be a bit of a tornado some days..... ( my poor husband and his almost scary level of loving things clean and everything in its place ). Also all the critters from the pup ( Cerberus ), Ball python ( Night ), hedgehog ( wütend means angary in german ), Ferret ( mr. shadow ), the kitty brats ( miss lilly 13, Oreo 4, Ginger 4, Ken 6 ), the 3 Geese ( itby bitiys ), the chickens ( older chickens including chipmunk, mame and a couple others and the little chickens 13 leghorns, 6 saphers, 4 oliver eggers look like little crows so cute, Roster ( blue beak the pirate chicken) and the ducks ( kaki the male, sweet and sour the 2 switish 3 runes, and 2 pekins). if we are lucky the quail eggs in the incubator will add to all that as they say 3rd times a charm.

Only a few came out here with us and this year will be 2 years we have lived here, and we have about two and a little over a half acers with a pond, hill, some out buildings and are on a dirt road in between 2 more. That's a huge change from the single wide trailer in the trailer park we moved from. There is so much space but not enough all at the same time, like I want a cow but not space for a full sized one so looking for a mini high land or a Dexter, goals is one that produces A2A2 milk. We got spoiled and learned all about the differ proteins of milk and Mooville over by us sells A2A2 ( they are the ones that have a bunch of info on the milk protines ), and its amazing with no stomach pain or anything. Moving out here has had a few pretty huge learning cuvees like figuring out internet and how to use a wood stove ( i did manage to kill the one we have the insulation caught on fire and that was the second time it caught fire where it should not be on fire, currently working on installing an outdoor pellet stove and that thing will be awesome ).

come join us for this adventure its sure to be a good one!
